My Childhood

While most little girls loved to play "house" growing up, I loved to act out scenes from my favorite movies. A lot of people are creeped out by the movies I liked, such as "Return to Oz" or "The Labyrinth" or "Never Ending Story". I was intrigued by the weird creatures, romance, and mystic nature of these films, at a very young age! I was also captivated by the soundtracks to films like these and I think that's where I developed my love for newage and celtic music. Here are some pictures to give you a glimpse into my twisted childhood fantasies.

I LOVE Labrynth! In fact, I own the movie. It is one of my favorites, and Brandon also thinks I'm a weirdo for loving it. :) Also, where are your performances, and what time on the 11th and 13th? I'd love to go.

Angie - I have to disagree! I loved the same kinds of movies at that age too. I can't comment on how "normal" that is but it was certainly more prevalent than you're suggesting. I have always had an overactive imagination and the worlds created by these movies are pure fantasy and imagination. To this day I still enjoy stories/movies with a supernatural bent to them. I guess we should just chalk it up to "different strokes for different folks" - these kinds of movies may not have been YOUR norm as a child but they were mine (and I am sure Kristen and I aren't the only ones for whom that is true). Long live Atreyu!
